Atlanta, Georgia 2020-09-30 14:53:22 –
Wednesday morning, Ambassador Andrew Young released a statement praising former Vice President Joe Biden’s performance following Tuesday night’s first Presidential debate as Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Atlanta for the Faith and Freedom Conference at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
“This is the most consequential election of our lifetime and never before have we seen an administration so deeply corrupt and detrimental to the lives of Americans,” Young said. “The failed leadership of President Trump and Vice President Pence has cost more than 200,000 Americans their lives and millions of others, their livelihoods and their well-being.”
According to FiveThirtyEight, former Vice President Joe Biden has a three-point lead on President Donald J. Trump in the latest round of polling in Georgia conducted by Civiqs.
“Last night, Joe Biden spoke directly to the American people and like a true leader, laid out his vision to help Americans contain the pandemic and build our country back better,” Young continued. “While President Trump and Vice President Pence try to tear down the Affordable Care Act and rip away health insurance from millions of Americans during a global pandemic, Joe Biden is focused on making sure working Americans have a fair shot in this country.
“Joe Biden believes that no matter where you start in life, everyone should be given the opportunity to live up to their God-given potential and that includes making sure that working families from every walk of life have what they need for a decent life, like affordable health care.”
Pence landed in Air Force Two just before 12:15 p.m. at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Both U.S. Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler; Gov. Brian Kemp; anti-tax advocate Grover Norquist; and local pastor Benny Tate are scheduled to speak at the conference.
Meanwhile, Reverend Raphael Warnock has a five-point lead in the newest Civiqs poll on the incumbent Loeffler. In the other U.S. Senate race, Democrat Jon Ossoff has a three-point lead over Senator Perdue with 34 days remaining until Election Day.
