According to a post on the company’s official Weibo account, American fast fashion brand Forever 21 plans to return to China after leaving China in 2019. The company has allowed Lasonic Limited Xusheng Co. Ltd and its subsidiaries Xusheng Electrical (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd to take charge of the brand’s business in Asian countries.

According to a Business of Fashion report, the brand is currently available on some electronic retail platforms such as Vipshop and Pinduoduo in China.

The company plans to open new stores across China and roll out its products through China’s e-commerce channels, the post said in a post.

The latest comeback is Forever 21’s third entry into China in 2011 after a short stint in 2008, ending when the brand leaves the country in 2019.

Forever 21 filed for bankruptcy in September 2019 and was acquired by global brand development, marketing and entertainment company Authentic Brands Group (ABG) in February 2020.

The brand also revived in the UK and other European countries through a localized online store last June.
