A man in Anaheim faces alleged attempted murder after police said he shot his boyfriend in the head, then led police in a high-speed chase in multiple counties and finally on Saturday. It had to be removed from his car by the SWAT team.

Ali Samodi, 51, shot dead an unnamed man in a “dating relationship” at around 2:45 am, then rented a U- from the scene at 5300 blocks on Santa Barbara Avenue in Garden Grove. It has been accused of running away. The haul truck, Garden Grove Police Department said in a news release.

Victims have been taken to a local hospital and remain in crisis.

Police tracked the vehicle to Menifie, where the Menifie police station tried to stop the traffic.

“The suspect did not stop and led the Menifee Police Station, Riverside County Sheriff, and California Highway Patrol to a fast chase of about 33 miles,” the release said.

According to police, Samodi stopped at Highway 10 and Bloomington near Cedar Avenue after “multiple traffic accidents” that made the U Hall “inoperable.”

“The Riverside County Sheriff SWAT responded and detained the suspect after a while. The suspect was not injured and was transferred to the Garden Grove Police Department,” police said.

Police said Samodi was detained in Orange County Prison on suspicion of attempted murder. Around 7 pm on Saturday night, prison records showed that Samudi was in the process of being put into prison.
