FaceTime links can be sent via iMessage, calendar, WhatsApp, email, or other communication platforms.
The FaceTime upgrade, which is expected to release IOS 15 later this year, will make FaceTime more competitive among video calling platforms such as Zoom and Skype.
Another FaceTime feature under development is SharePlay. This allows multiple people to watch and listen to the same TV show, movie, or song at the same time.
But that’s not all. Future FaceTime upgrades will include a new grid interface that supports spatial audio, a portrait mode that blurs the background, and an audio toggle that lets you decide what sound to capture with your iPhone’s microphone.
