Aranzas Pass police and the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office found four bodies in the RV on Wednesday while investigating threats and graphic images shared by a local boy.
According to a news release, police officers received information that an unidentified male boy posted a photo of his dead family on social media and threatened to continue violence at a local school.
Ingleside police, sheriff’s office, and Aranzas Pass police found the RV where the suspect lived and asked him to leave his residence.
The suspect refused, and police officers heard a single gunshot and the sound of a person falling to the ground, Release said. Upon entry, the officer found four bodies and two dead dogs.
Police said there was no ongoing threat to local students and staff.
“Finally, but more importantly, we thank the social media website and the other boys in the group where the threat was created,” the release said. “Without their swift action and continued support, we might have been working on an even more tragic event later this morning.”
