The Aranzas Pass marine rescue team responded to the capsized boat call on Saturday.
Around 5 pm, a news release said they received a call about two people clinging to a capsized boat about four miles north of Con Brown Port.
A marine team led by Sergeant Aranthus Police. Travis Baker responded with three police rescue divers and one Aranthus pass firefighter for medical assistance. Upon arrival, police officers noticed that another recreational boat had stopped for help.
Men and women were taken to the shore and treated for minor injuries while Marines were recovering the boat. The good Samaritan collected personal belongings from the water and helped to orient the boat correctly.
According to the National Meteorological Service, there were dangerous beach and marine conditions throughout the weekend. The Coastal Flood Recommendation was valid until 7 pm on Monday.
Rising water levels increase the risk of rip currents and lead to dangerous swimming conditions on the beaches facing the bay.
