Lubbock, Texas (KLBK) — Arguments in Popeye Drive-through in Texas When a woman fired a gun in the air, it led to a firing call. Police said gunshots occurred after another customer complained when the woman did not withdraw from the drive-through in search of wind-blown cash.
Police reported that the incident occurred around 8:50 pm on Monday when the suspect was trying to pay for food in a drive-through at Popeyes in Lubbock.
After the wind blew the money, she pulled up and got out of the car looking for money while Popeyes employees were helping.
The suspect and another customer began to argue that she wasn’t completely withdrawn from the drive-through to look for money.
The suspect told other customers: [her] alone, [she] Police reported that he intended to shoot him. “
Other customers told the suspect that she wasn’t scared. At that point she got into the car and began to leave.
However, police reported that the suspect pointed his pistol out of the car and fired a shot into the air before leaving.
The Lubbock police station said there was no up-to-date information on the incident as of Wednesday afternoon.
