Phoenix (AP) — Arizona is expanding its COVID-19 vaccination program and plans to open another state-owned site in Phoenix Metro to qualify older people in Arizona for the new vaccine. ..

The next vaccination site will open on February 1st at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium near the Phoenix-Tempe border, officials said, and registration will begin on Tuesday. The state vaccination program took a long time to get going. However, officials say the first state-owned large-scale site at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium proved successful. It administers thousands of doses daily.

The state announced on Wednesday that people over the age of 65 could sign up for vaccination starting next week.
