Holly County, South Carolina (WBTW) — According to Holly County police, police arrested on Friday after a video showed a dog being beaten by something that looked like a pipe in the Conway area.

According to police, Conway’s Marcel Antonio Riggins, 49, was arrested on Friday and charged in connection with the case. Police also said six dogs were confiscated in the case. It is unclear what fees Riggins will face.

Police were called on Wednesday to report animal cruelty to a house at 4900 blocks on Murray Johnson Road in the Conway area.

The video shows what appears to be someone tying a dog and hitting it with something. You can see the dog being beaten many times and jumping repeatedly to avoid being beaten. A second person can be seen in the video, but their involvement is unknown. News13 has chosen not to share the video due to its graphic nature.
