Corpus Christi, Texas — Several young artists from Coastal Bend have won some prize money at school after participating in the Plastic Free-Sea Art Contest.

Organized by Texas State Aquarium and Reliant Energy. It is also part of the National Geographic Travel Exhibit at TSA.

The main focus is to motivate young people to respect our beaches and the wildlife that calls them home.

Children under the age of 12 were asked to create art using local beach debris and debris. Marine debris is a global problem and requires global efforts to resolve it, TSA President and CEO said.

“they [the contestants] I think I now have a better understanding of how big this problem is, “said CEO Tom Schmidt. I think it’s more likely to pick up trash and if everyone can do it. , You can solve this problem. “

The exhibition will take place at the aquarium until Labor Day, Monday, September 6th.
