Salem, Oregon (AP) — A man in Astoria has been charged in connection with the murder of a woman in Salem, who went missing in March.

NS Statesman Journal Report Gustavo Ochoa-Valadez was arrested and detained without bail in Marion County Jail after the death of 42-year-old Tonna Purnell. Ochoa-Valadez was charged with murder, kidnapping and illegal use of firearms earlier this month.
