Baltimore (WJZ) — More than 12 people were shot dead in the city of Baltimore on a holiday weekend.

Crime scene tapes were scattered in the alleys of West Pratt Street on Tuesday, and city police said the 18-year-old boy had been fatally shot.

“Wow. When will you stop? I need prayer. I need prayer,” said Karen, the mother of the murder victim. “I’m injured. I’m angry. I’m frustrated because no one has ever seen me reach out to my family.”

The murder on Tuesday morning committed three murders in four days within three blocks of Carrollton Ridge.

“When I’m here, I see a lot of communities. I see a lot of brotherhood. I don’t know what’s going on when the lights go out,” said Nate Whitlow of Funnel Cake King. I am.

“It’s terrible. It’s sad because it’s a relatively good area with good people,” said one man.

From Friday night to Tuesday morning, city police said 14 people were shot dead throughout the city and 5 were killed.
The surviving victim was only 12 years old. The child was one of two shooting victims from Anarcourt early Saturday morning. He was finally listed in a serious condition.

The violence on Monday began after 1:30 am. A 32-year-old man was killed on Milton Street in East Baltimore. Shortly before noon, a police adjutant found a 16-year-old bullet in the arms and legs of McCullough Street. He is expected to survive.

Late Monday night 19 years old was killed — The eighth victim of the shooting of the day. The victims were 174 murders in the city this year.

Longtime residents of Carrollton Ridge have a theory of cause.

“I think the violence will go away if we get rid of the medicine,” said one resident.

“People don’t have. People want to take from each other,” Karen said.

“We have to do better as people. There’s really nothing more you can say about it,” Whitlow said.

Two other men of unknown age were killed in Howard Park on Sunday and Broadway East on Monday.

The city of Baltimore has had 174 murders so far this year, with 167 reported last year.
