On July 21, 2021, Naples, Florida-Government Law Attorney Zachary W. Lombard was elected to the Friends of Fakahatchie Board of Directors. Members are elected to the board every April for a two-year term. Board members have a variety of backgrounds, including education, profession, tourism, business and volunteering. The Fakahatchie Strand Reserve is the largest and least developed park in Florida State Park.
According to their website, the Friends of Fakahatchie (FOF) works with park staff to provide resource-based recreation while educating, conserving and restoring natural resources. One of FOF’s key missions is to educate the general public about the vulnerability of Fakahatchie biodiversity through seasonal adventures and programs.
Zack commented on his involvement: “Southwest Florida is a beautiful place to live, much of it thanks to the Everglades. Do what you can to support the important border between Fakahatchee and Southwest Florida development and the Everglades. That’s important to me, “he says.
Zachary Lombardo is a Deputy Attorney for PA Woodward, Pires & Lombardo. His PhD in Law graduated with excellent results at Florida State University College of Law. Growing up in Naples, Florida, Zack focuses on government relations, land use and zoning, commercial law, contract drafting, and litigation operations in the southwestern Florida community. He enjoys playing harmonica rowing the waterways of Collier and Lee counties.
