Neosho, Missouri (AP) — Southwestern Missouri officials are investigating three deaths in two locations, saying the deaths are related.
Deputy Sheriff Newton County found the body of 25-year-old Briley O’Banion in a ditch along the road in Lomarinda on Saturday. Investigators do not say how O’Banion was killed, but are investigating her death as a murder.
According to Newton County Sheriff Chris Jennings, investigators have recently searched for two people who were with O’Banion, which led to Jasper County.
Jasper County officials were called to Avila’s house on Sunday night and found the bodies of Mason McClure, 34, and Joplin’s Nicole Hodges, 34, who lived in the house.Autopsy determined they were shot dead, Joplin Grove report..
O’Banion’s boyfriend, Reed’s 24-year-old Kevin Johnson, was charged on Monday with two charges: a single murder at Avila’s death and an armed criminal procedure.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said Avila’s death had not searched for other suspects.
