Authorities will provide updates on the collapse of a 12-story Florida condominium at a press conference Thursday night.

Surfside Mayor Charles Barkett said search and rescue operations resumed after a day’s suspension due to structural concerns.

It is also expected to discuss the latest information on the tropical cyclone Elsa, which continues to move rapidly in the Caribbean Sea, and emergency response plans for bad weather.
