Kansas City, Missouri — A US Air Force B-2 spirit bomber was damaged after an emergency landing at Whiteman Air Force Base on Tuesday.
A news release from the base states that in-flight dysfunction during regular training missions caused problems that forced an emergency landing.
The incident happened around 12:30 am
No injuries were reported and the aircraft did not ignite, according to a news release.
The Air Force is investigating the cause of the aircraft problem.
The Air Force Base, near Nobnostar, Missouri, is home to the 509th Bomb Wing’s B-2 stealth bomber.
