Boston (AP) — Dennis Grossel hit Zai Flowers from 10 yards overtime as Boston University recovered after blowing off two fourth-quarter leads to defeat Missouri 41-34, and Brandon. Sebastian’s interception sealed the victory on Saturday.

British Columbia fans celebrate the victory at the first meeting between schools and the Eagles’ first 4-0 start since Matt Ryan achieved eight consecutive victories to start the 2007 season. Attacked the field.

Travis Levy scored from 5 yards, giving BC a 34-31 lead and playing the regulation in 25 seconds. 1 bounced off one defender and scrambled in. 39 and Harrison Mevis barely cleared the crossbar with a 56-yard field goal as they had run out of time to send the game overtime.

BC had the ball first and picked it up first on the third down pass to Levy. After Levy stopped with a loss of 1, Grosel discovered that Flowers were open to the left of the end zone. Missouri’s Connaba Zerak headed for the end zone in his first play, but Sebastian jumped in front of the receiver at the goal line and took the ball down to score a goal.

Pat Garwo ran 175 yards and two touchdowns, including a score of 67 yards in the first quarter. Walk-on Grossel, who took over the starter when Notre Dame transfer Phil Jurkoveck injured his wrist in the second week, threw 175 yards and two scores. He also ran 35 yards to help BC turn in 11 of the 17 third-down attempts.

Baserac completed 30 of the 41 passes with 303 yards, one touchdown and two pass cuts. Tyler Buddy ran with 72 yards and 2 scores, while Tausky Dove caught 3 passes at 89 yards.

BC started the fourth quarter at 27-17, while Missouri advanced to 31-27 with Buddy’s second TD, an 8-yard run. After the Tigers made a personal foul on the kickoff, BC started with its own 40 — went to touchback anyway.

Grosel led them with a 15-play scoring drive, eating 5:53 off-time and leaving Tigers for just 25 seconds. After Bazelac completed a 19-yard pass to Barrett Banister and a 12-yard pass to Keketism, the Tigers called the final time-out at BC44 with 6 seconds remaining.

With Doug Flutie in the crowd — he took a photo with his fans in front of the “Alum Fruity” statue outside Alumni Stadium after the match — Missouri opposes Ave Maria and shorts to Banister Throw and put the ball at 39 3 seconds left.

Take away

Missouri: Eli Drinkwitz frowned when he said it was better to face local rivals in the Tigers recruitment area than to jump out to Boston. With the defeat, he can be confident that he will not end the signature drought in Massachusetts.

Boston University: The Eagles scored a total of 124-31 in the first three games against schools other than Power Five. Having won the first Southeastern Conference School to visit Chestnut Hill since 1987, they have something to mean.
