Denver-If you don’t get a response from the state after signing up for Colorado’s free and quick home inspection program, state health officials are asking for a bit of patience.
However, by Friday, many Coloradans reported that they had an error when trying to submit their order or that they had not yet received a confirmation email from the state.
In an email from the state on Friday afternoon, a CDPHE spokeswoman will review all requests sent online via the registration form and, once approved, qualify to place an order through the portal. He said he would send an email to confirm.
By Friday night, some people had begun to receive the following emails, informing them that their request was being reviewed.
“Because of the high demand, Coloradans can receive a confirmation email within 7-14 days,” a spokeswoman told Denver7. She said that if you try to resend the order from the portal before you receive the confirmation email, you will get an error message instead.
Four Binax NOW test kits will be shipped to those who are approved to take the free test. Each kit contains two tests that are used twice a week, for a total of eight tests per month. If you need more tests, you will need to reorder each month.
These over-the-counter exams may not be accepted by your employer or your airline, the spokeswoman warned, so forget to check with them first before resorting to one of these kits. Please do not.
