Election results will take place in several races held in Okfuskee County on Tuesday, April 6th. Results at this time are considered informal until 5 pm on Friday, when the Election Commission meets to prove the results.

The Bearden Public School District proposal was passed and 81.82 percent of the ballot was passed. A total of 55 votes were cast. This proposal will provide funding to support elementary school construction costs and equipment.

In the city of Wellitka for the councilors of the big race, Logan Manshack defeated Bill Phipps, winning 80 percent of the total 40 votes. 32 votes were cast for Manshack and 8 votes for Chipps.

In the Graham-Dustin Board of Education race, Jimmy Shadix defeated Jeremy Pippen by 27 votes over Pippen’s 16 votes. Shadix won 62.79 percent and Pippen claimed 37.21 percent. This was a race in multiple counties, including the Okwski, Okmargi, Hughes, and Macintosh counties.

Maryann Tinsley outperformed Deven Shane Mills in the Paden School Board race. Tinsley won 104 votes in 53 of Mills. Tinsley won 33.76 percent of Mills and 66.24 percent of the votes. With one tentative vote, the Election Commission needs to match the information with the voter registration record. The results of this race will be certified on Friday at 1:00 pm.

Kelly Canard defeated Michael G. Sauder with 67.12 percent of the votes in the Batner Public School Board of Education race. Canard won 49 of the 73 recorded votes. Sowder who claims the other 24.
