Las Vegas (KLAS) — The weather has been great for the last few days, but all the good things are over.
The Las Vegas Valley horizon has three digits and it is advisable to be aware of the danger of heat.
The basic rule is to keep hydrating. That’s what the American Medical Response (AMR) team recommended.
They emphasize the importance of drinking plenty of water, applying sunscreen, and wearing clothes that protect your arms and legs, and your face.
Dangerous heat can cause sunburn within minutes.
There are some signs that need attention, such as dizziness, vomiting, and confusion.
According to AMR, summer is the busiest time of the year, with a 28% increase in heat-related emergency calls.
However, fever can also lead to other dangers that many people ignore.
“People want to get into the pool and be cool. We want to emphasize water so we can be sure of what’s going on in the water,” said AMR Leslie Schaffer. “With the children, we emphasize the safety device. Make sure the gate is locked.”
Shaffer recommends attending a swimming class as the pool is always crowded during the summer. It may be a life-threatening decision in the future.
Also, keep in mind that alcohol is not considered to hydrate itself, as COVID restrictions will be lifted and more people will go out.
AMR recommends a glass of water with a drink to drink at the bar.
