Cleveland (AP) — Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took a second COVID-19 negative test in 24 hours, rejoined his teammates and allowed him to play in a Sunday match in Pittsburgh. ..

Beckham was moved away from the Cleveland facility and did not practice for two days after returning home on Thursday when he felt sick. Following the NFL coronavirus protocol, he returned after failing two tests.

The league has instructed the team to get rid of people who have symptoms similar to COVID-19, even if they are caused by a cold or the flu.

Browns said it was doubtful that Beckham would face the undefeated Steelers (4-0) in Heinz Field. He wasn’t practicing, but three professional bowlers attended team meetings remotely.

On Friday, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Beckham was feeling better. The team wanted him to be able to play and help Cleveland help his first win in Pittsburgh since 2003.

Beckham got off to a strong start in the second season with Browns, who won a star in a blockbuster trade with the New York Giants. He has 21 catches with 294 yards and 3 touchdowns. Beckham also made an inspiring 50-yard TD run that sealed his victory in Dallas.
