Albuquerque, New Mexico (KRQE) – Bernarijo County reminds homeowners that property taxes are approaching. This year, however, there is a little extra time to pay for it.
The 2021 Property Tax Bill was mailed by the Bernarijo County Treasury Department on December 1, 2021. New Mexico law requires the property tax bill to be mailed by November 1st each year, but this year’s bill has been postponed by state law. (HB407-2019) This will allow the school district to ask property tax questions in the November elections.
