Bicyclist dies in crash with semi in Salem – Portland, Oregon

KOIN, Oregon — Police said a cyclist who was attacked by a semi-truck in Salem died on Friday night.

Police and firefighters responded to a vehicle-bicycle collision at the intersection of Salem Parkway and Cherry Avenue Northeast just before 8 pm on Friday night, according to Salem police.

Police said police had found that a semi-truck driver had beaten a cyclist and killed an adult man when they arrived.

Official research revealed that a truck driven by Dallas’ 55-year-old Montaque Annear was heading southwest on the Salem Parkway at a green light as the bike headed north at the intersection.

After hitting the man, Anna stopped, stayed at the scene, and cooperated with law enforcement agencies, police said.

No arrests or citations were made, according to the SPD.

Police did not reveal the identity of the cyclist.
