Greer, South Carolina (WSPA) -The Biden administration has updated travel bans and guidelines for international travelers coming to the United States.
After 6 December, all air passengers, regardless of vaccination status, must test negative for a COVID-19 test performed at least 1 day prior to their trip to the United States.
Previously, similar three-day requirements were in effect since early November, when the government abolished country-specific travel bans.
Children under the age of 2 do not need to take the test. There is also an option for those who can prove that they have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days.
Biden administration officials said changes in the test timeline would provide more protection as scientists continue to study Omicron variants.
The Byden administration will also extend Mask’s mission until the spring of 2022 while at transportation hubs such as buses, trains, planes, indoor bus terminals and airports.
