Biden outlining the proposed COVID-19 stimulation package on Thursday night – Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky

Presidential election Joe Biden plans to fight COVID-19 early in the administration on Thursday evening.

While answering the questions following last week’s remarks, Biden made fun of the announcement of a huge stimulus package that might feature more direct payments to Americans. He refused to go into the details, but Biden mentioned a $ 2,000 check and a small business stimulus that focused on women and minority-owned businesses.

Mr Biden said last week that his stimulus would add up to “trillions of dollars.” Despite the high price tags, Mr Biden added that he believes the bill is essential to the survival of the economy and feels that if the bill does not pass, the economy could collapse.

Many Republicans, and at least one Democratic senator, have already voiced opposition to paying more direct stimulus to Americans.

Biden’s unintroduced legislation already faces at least one obstacle: time constraints. A groundbreaking law needs to be passed while the Senate is considering confirming Biden’s position as Supreme Minister and in parallel with President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial.

During his speech on Thursday, Biden is also expected to work on his other plans to limit the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and the spread of the virus.

The president-elect has already stated that vaccination with 100 million COVID-19 vaccines in the first 100 days of his inauguration is part of his administration’s goals. He also said he plans to enact a mask mandate “where he can” — including while in federal property and between interstate public transport.

Biden’s address is currently scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm Eastern Standard Time and will take place at his transition headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.
