Pahoa, Hawaii (KHON2) — A man who lost control of Toyota Tacoma died while traveling north on Highway 130 in Pahoa, Hawaii.
It happened on Saturday, September 4th, around 9:20 pm in the area of Highway 130 and Karahine Street.

Police said the driver was the only person in the truck when he lost control and slipped off the right shoulder of the road. The truck rolled and he was thrown out of the truck.
Police reported that he was found to be unresponsive under the truck.
He was taken to the Hilo Medical Center and sentenced to death on Sunday, September 5, at 12:25 am.
His identity has not been revealed.
Police said the road was wet as it rained and fell.
According to police, speed was the cause of the accident, and it is not clear whether alcohol or drugs were also factors in the investigation.
At that time he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
This is the 16th death toll this year, compared to 13 fatal road accidents during this period last year.
