Boaters come dangerously close to tipping over on a Texas dam – Fresno, California

Fresno, California 2021-06-11 05:52:26 –

Austin, Texas-Boaters in central Texas overturned the dam and approached dangerously.

It was a test that was only tweeted by paramedics on Thursday afternoon, but later came to fruition when they posted the ship and its bow with nothing underneath.

The tweet came from the Austin-Travis County EMS, which serves the Capital Region of Texas.

The first tweet of the incident described a 911 phone call reporting a boat “towards the dam” and a caller who added that “it looks like he’s trying to cross the dam.”

About eight minutes later, a follow-up tweet explained what was happening to help the helpless boater.

“The boat is roped to another boat in the area. Life jackets are hung on four crew members. The boat is partially above the dam. [Helicopter EMS] Assigned. Escape plans are underway, “said the second tweet in a very descriptive thread.

After 13 minutes, the boat ride seems to have been safe.

“The boat and crew were pulled out of the dam by a patrol boat on Lake @ Austin_Police to open the water. Passengers are not requesting #ATCEMS,” the tweet said.

Then, as the danger disappeared, the Twitter feed showed how close the boater was to a potentially life-threatening fall. The photo followed a brief video showing a boat towing a ship at risk.

Rescue photos in particular have gained a fair amount of interaction on Twitter.

“Scary !!” One user replied.

It wasn’t immediately clear how the boater approached danger.
