Timmonsville, South Carolina (WBTW) —The body of the fallen Lake City police lieutenant John Stewart has been taken back to a funeral hall in Florence County, officials said early Sunday afternoon.
Stewart died on duty on Friday After follow-up, his body was taken to MUSC Charleston for autopsy. According to Major Michael Nunn of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, officers were with Stewart’s body during the entire round-trip trip to MUSC.
