Bodycam shows Columbia police officer run into burning home to rescue disabled woman – Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee

Colombia, Tennessee (WTVF) —Colombian police have released a body camera video showing a police officer rushing into a burning house to rescue a woman with a disability.

The call was made Friday morning at his home in the Links Circle, Colombia... Colombian police said Corporal Alan Irvin had arrived and found the woman still inside. At some point, you can see a big fireball shooting from the house.

Irvine came across a burning house and took the woman out. She is taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she remains in danger due to burns and smoke inhalation. Irvine wasn’t injured.

Police released a video of Irvine’s body camera showing him running through the house. However, police said they did not show actual rescue due to the graphic nature of the video.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
