Boston (AP) — Boston health officials on Tuesday self-quarantine COVID-19 testing after a series of cases associated with a popular Cape Cod tourist destination for recent visitors to Provincetown I urged you to receive it.

According to the Boston Public Health Commission, at least 35 cases of COVID-19 in Boston date back to Provincetown, most of which relate to fully vaccinated people.

Those who travel to Provincetown after July 1st are required to be inspected for at least 5 days after returning home. Travel guidance requires recent visitors to self-quarantine and avoid meetings for at least five days until they test negative for COVID-19.

Provincetown officials announced a new mask recommendation on Monday after more than 100 people tested positive following the July 4 holiday.

This advisory encourages all residents and visitors of the town, a popular summer destination for LGBTQ +, to wear masks.
