A Boston firefighter worked for two hours to rescue a dog trapped in a drain at Millennium Park in West Roxbury.

Around 2 pm Wednesday, 4-year-old dog Hubert, nicknamed Bubba, According to WCVB, When he heard a loud noise and got stuck, he encountered an open culvert.

The crew used cameras to locate the dog, the National Grid said the backhoe was brought to the WCVB to assist in the rescue.

It took about two hours to release Hubert, and when he got out of the pipe around 4 pm, he looked healthy and unharmed.

“The rescue dog has been returned to his mom and dog pedestrian for many hugs and days that many will never forget,” the department wrote on Twitter.
