Approximately 800 graduates will attend Bowie State University’s Spring 2022 Graduation Ceremony at BSU Bulldog Stadium on Friday, May 20th at 10am. Graduates from December 2021 who did not participate in the hybrid ceremony will be invited to celebrate Friday. This will be the first full face-to-face start with family and friends since the start of the fall of December 2019.

The graduation speaker is Jacqueline McWilliams Parker, Commissioner of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and the first woman to play that role at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, II, or III conferences. McWilliams Parker has managed the National Championships at NCCA for nine years and hosted division I basketball tournaments for both men and women. She began her coaching, compliance, and management career at Virginia Union University, after which she offered career growth opportunities in CIAA, Norfolk, and Morgan.

All restrictions on COVID-19 have been relaxed for outdoor ceremonies. Masks are required for indoor remote viewing locations. Guests are encouraged to exercise their personal responsibilities in order to pay attention to their individual health.
