Boy killed in northwest Las Vegas Valley crash | News – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (FOX5)-A boy was beaten to death in a car in the northwestern valley Saturday afternoon, police said.

At around 12:22 pm on September 25, police were called into the Centennial Center Boulevard and Tropical Parkway areas. Police said minor pedestrians were crossing eastward against “non-walking” pedestrian traffic lights.

Driven by a 48-year-old from Las Vegas, the 2020 Ford Fusion was traveling north. Police said the boy was beaten while walking in front of Fusion. He was taken to a college medical center where he was sentenced to death.

According to police, the Fusion driver stayed on the scene. Impairment was not suspected.

The boy’s death marked the 102nd traffic-related death of the LVMPD in 2021. He will be identified by Clark County Coroner Office after being notified to his close relatives.
