Honolulu (KHON2) —Thursday is a fairly typical trade winds weather, with rain upwind and the Mauka region.
Surface valleys develop near the island on Thursday nights and Fridays, slowly moving west on Friday nights.

This brings a moist trade wind condition, especially to the upwind sections of small islands.
As the trough moves west over the weekend, the pattern of moist trade winds continues as trade returns to refreshing levels.
