Jimmy Carter in hospice care, Carter Center says

Former President Jimmy Carter is receiving hospice care at home, the Carter Center said Saturday. He made the decision after a series of short hospital stays, the center said in a statement.

A charity founded by the 98-year-old former president said Carter “decided to spend the rest of his time at home with his family and receive hospice care in lieu of additional medical intervention.”
