Corpus Christi, Texas — Over the past two years, the celebration of BucDays has been a little different for the people of Corpus Christi.

From screaming riders to tasting funnel cakes and fried oreos, Buc Days has long been a tradition for Coastal Bend residents.

The BucDays tradition celebrated by Corpus Christi residents is not limited to vehicles and festive food.

There is also a Navy Army night parade. Many families share the tradition of camping on the eve of the parade and marking their place during the week of the parade.

Richard Delgard and his family have already marked their location with chalk.

Going to the morning parade has been a tradition for many years.

He didn’t go camping the night before, but said he would get there early in the morning to set up a barbecue pit, canopy and chairs.

But Delgado said the parade wasn’t that important, it was about spending time with his family.

“My son will come from San Antonio with my grandchildren. I have three grandchildren in San Antonio and three here in the corpus,” Delgado said.

Delgado ordered a temporary toilet from United Site Services to help families feel comfortable in a nearby toilet.

Debbie Anderwald, Territory Account Manager at United Site Services, said he received about 20 calls about renting a temporary toilet on Friday morning.

According to Anderwald, Buc Days NavyArmy Night Parade typically grows in sales each year.

“Yesterday and today I had some phones on the parade route actually requesting some toilets,” she said.

Jason Flores owns Mr.LEDs, a company that sells lighted shirts, hats and eyeglasses.

It’s the first time it’s been sold at the BucDays parade since it started a year ago.

By downloading the app, customers can control the LED screen by typing words.

He said it makes his business unique, and he looks forward to growing it during the parade.

“It gives us the opportunity to brand our name and introduce our local small businesses to the community, and also see the innovations in the toys we sell to children and adults. It gives us the opportunity, “Flores said.
