Sacramento (CBS13) – California is on the verge of a full reopening.
The COVID rules will be officially abolished on June 15th. There are no hierarchical systems or capacity limits.
Companies are preparing for major changes, but how close can you expect things to be to normal? For many, the first item on the agenda is mask-off.
“I’m aware that most people don’t wear them anymore. Many find it more comfortable not to wear them,” said Alyssa Jovidan.
Governor Newsom said vaccinated workers will no longer need to wear masks from June 17th.
“People who are fully vaccinated do not wear masks. For those who are not vaccinated, they will still be wearing masks,” said the owner of the Old Sacramento Railyard Restaurant. Troy Paschi said.
This is the same setting as Adam Attia’s Jim Fitness Rangers.
“It’s really a code of ethics,” Attia said.
Attia said it was still operating at only about 50% capacity on the day of the major reopening.
“We’re still a little up and I don’t think it’s like black and white all-or-nothing,” he said.
Some of the survival tools we learned when the pandemic first started stay here.
“We will continue to build that online presence and offer more programs to those who are not always able to enter the gym,” Atia said.
Like many restaurant owners, Paschi said he still lacks staff, but he welcomes as many people as possible into his restaurant.
“The governor says there are no COVID restrictions, so there is no social distance. You can do whatever you want,” Paski said.
Only indoor mega-events are still regulated. It attracts thousands of people. It’s something people may need to show evidence of a vaccine.
