Tulsa, Oklahoma — Lolli and Pops is known for its sweet candy. But a recent problem that the company calls glitches has left a bad taste in people’s mouths.
Last Friday, many noticed a credit or debit card charge from the company.
The transaction was dated July 16, 2021, but the bill must have been made months or even a year ago.
Greg Potter said he bought candy for his wife on the 19th anniversary of his marriage in July 2020.
And last Friday, Lolli and Pops posted a transaction.
“If I didn’t get paid that day, I would have been detained,” Potter said.
The parent company of Lolli and Pops filed for bankruptcy in 2019.
2 News Olympic has contacted the company. In a statement, they say bankruptcy had nothing to do with the error.
A financial expert told 2News Oklahoma that customers can challenge a claim from Lolli and Pop if more than 30 days have passed since the purchase.
