Wichita, Kang (KSNW) -Wichita police said a car fleeing a police officer on Friday collided with another occupied vehicle.
According to police, police officers were heading east north of 21st Avenue as the car came behind her and tried to pass. Police said the vehicle had deliberately turned towards the marked patrol vehicle and took workarounds to avoid a collision.
Police activated her lights and sirens, but police said the vehicle had accelerated eastward and had a red light at Yale University. The vehicle collided with another vehicle on which a 48-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl were riding. They weren’t injured.
A 41-year-old man, a driver being tracked by police, was detained and slightly injured and taken to a local hospital.
