Car stolen from Richfield recovered in St. Paul, but dog is missing

A car stolen with a dog in Richfield was recovered, but police said the dog was still missing.

The car, the 2021 Black Chevrolet Malibu, was stolen on Friday while running in the parking lot of Richfield Liquors, 6600 Cedar Avenue. According to S., Richfield Police. It included a big screen TV, an iPhone, and a black lab mix named Vic.

Police said the car had been recovered near Hamline University in St. Paul on Saturday, but Vic wasn’t inside. The dog was very friendly and was said to weigh about 50 pounds.

Police asked anyone with information about the incident or whereabouts of the dog to call 612-861-9800.
