Cardinals Sign QB Jarrett Guarantano After Rookie Tryout – Honolulu, Hawaii

Honolulu, Hawaii 2022-05-17 05:03:03 –

The team will also sign veteran WR Christian Blake in six additions Darren Urban

Cardinals found a fourth quarterback in the off-season.

Among the six notable tryout players signed on Monday from the weekend rookie minicamp was Jarrett Guarantano, a 6’3, 219-pound big-arm QB from Washington State.

Gualantano spent four years in Tennessee before moving to Pullman in 2021, but the season ended after his knee was injured in the first match of the year.

Among the new signatures, wide receiver Christian Blake is the only non-rookie player. He has played for the Falcons for the past three years, played 41 games and made 28 catches at 257 yards.

The Cardinals still have a week left for Phase 2 work before Phase 3 (organized team activity prior to the Veterans Minicamp) begins on May 23. Everything is voluntary except for mini camps.

At the top of the quarterback room is Kyler Murray, followed by Colt McCoy and Trace McCoy. Regardless of voluntary attendance, the Cardinal was always convinced that he would add another arm to throw into the off-season and training camps.
