Cat fans squeeze State Street on the second Saturday – Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky

Lexington, Kentucky (LEX 18) — Feeled like a dejav on State Street in Lexington last night after a football team at the University of Kentucky defeated the LSU Tigers on Saturday night.

Lexington city officials estimate that at some point there were as many as 500 fans there.

During the celebration, there was news that Alabama lost the number one ranking.

So next week’s cat opponent, the Georgia Bulldogs, will probably be the top-ranked team in the country.

This will start the top 25 matches next weekend. Cat fans said they were ready for whatever was thrown at them.

“I think it’s going to be a difficult game, but if the cats are playing like they are now, I think we can get over it,” said one student.

“I’m looking forward to next week because 6-0 sounds good and 7-0 sounds better,” said another fan celebrating on State Street.

The LEX18 crew was there when the two fires broke out, but they quickly extinguished.

Officials said one was arrested for chaotic behavior.
