Las Vegas (FOX5) –The Clark County Fire Department was fighting a major fire in the Central Valley on Sunday.
According to CCFD, they responded to Karen Avenue 1500 near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway around 3 pm on June 6. CCFD dispatched six engines, two trucks, two rescue teams, and two battalion commanders.
Before the fire brigade arrived, Las Vegas police helped evacuate some of the apartments. When they arrived, firefighters discovered a “severe fire” condition and began a defensive operation to prevent it from spreading to other units.
A second alert was requested and there were a total of 55 personnel on site.
According to CCFD, the scene is active. Avoid the area.
