Corpus Christi, TX — The Corpus Christi Independent School District is taking action to support student and staff safety by launching the Tipline.
of speak up for safety The Anonymous Tipline adds new functionality to the “Report Bullying” button on the district’s website. Previously, this button contained a form used only for filing bullying complaints. A new system will allow users to report threats of violence, friends in danger, and other safety concerns.
The new Tipline feature will be available on the first day of school on Tuesday, August 3rd. Gaggle has created a program that also includes a 24/7 monitoring service.
Once a tip is submitted, it will be immediately sent to the designated district staff member. In the event of an emergency, district contacts will be notified immediately. If the hint indicates imminent danger and the monitor fails to notify the designated contact, local law enforcement will take action.
Tips can be sent by phone, text message, or through the district website. More information about accessing the Tipline will be shared soon.
District Police Chief Kirby Warnke said in a press release: In case of emergency he should call 9-1-1. For all other information, we are grateful to have this additional tool that allows everyone to easily report tips so that school officials can act immediately. ”
