Las Vegas (KTNV) — The Clark County School District faces major hurdles after announcing that teachers and staff need to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

At the beginning of September, the CCSD website posted 728 job listings. 13 Action News contacted CCSD and asked if the number increased after the announcement of the mandatory vaccine. The CCSD said about 750 positions were open, but the school district did not reveal whether these additional vacant seats were directly linked to the new mission.

Cynthia Miraberi is a former CCSD teacher. She resigned after working in the school district for six years.

“I feel like I’m supposed to help my kids. I love my job. The school district is really suffering, and we’re sure I’ll never be easier We’re in the next school year, and I think it’s the time of this perfect disaster for people that we’re already on fire, “said Miraberi.
