(AP)-US Immunization Drive COVID-19 (New Coronavirus Infection) A major new stage of crisis is at stake: Thursday’s government adviser recommended millions of Americans to be boosted with Pfizer’s vaccine.
This is despite concerns among some experts that additional shots have little effect on delaying the pandemic.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Advisory Board recommended additional doses for people over the age of 65, residents of nursing homes, and people between the ages of 50 and 64 with underlying illness. It also states that it can provide boosters to people between the ages of 18 and 49 with underlying illness.
Shots are given at least 6 months after the second dose of Pfizer vaccine.
