New Mexico (KRQE) – This week continues the potential for afternoon storms, especially in the western region along the Central Mountains. This vibrant monsoon will continue to operate for the next few days, especially in the western half of New Mexico. Today, storms can be scattered west along the Central Mountains. Some dry air begins to move to the eastern half of the state, limiting the chances of rain until the weekend.
East waves that move to western New Mexico by Thursday, bringing additional moisture and additional lift. This slightly increases the chances of rain for people along the Lower Rio Grande Valley and to the west, threatening isolated pockets of heavy rain.
