Kansas City, Missouri (KCTV)-A man was charged with manslaughter in a vehicle and left the scene of the accident in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in September.

23-year-old Arnold King was charged with murdering 31-year-old Valeria Villa Alvarado on September 17th at the intersection of Bales.

According to police, King was driving the Bales at high speed when he struck a car in Villa Alvarado, ignoring the stop sign. Both the King and the passengers fled the scene. Villa-Alvarado was declared dead on the scene. Her two children were in the car and were injured.

Villa-Alvarado is the secretary of KCMO’s East High School and has been working since 2018. She is survived by two young daughters.
