Supported by Mayor Jane Caster’s continued promotion of sustainability and resilience in Tampa’s thoughtful plans for the future, the City Planning Department invites all members of the Southern Gandhi Community to a Coastal Area Action Plan kickoff meeting. doing.
Starting in the southern region of Gandhi, city officials will meet with community members on Wednesday, June 22, for an open discussion on long-term coastal plans and future visions. The city of Tampa is working closely with Venesh consultants to evaluate the best ways to address coastal vulnerabilities and discuss strategies to guide future development in these areas in a safe and sustainable way. ..
“Almost 80% of southern Gandhi is in the Coastal High Hazardous Area (CHHA),” said Stephen Benson, Director of Urban Planning. “We take proactive steps to protect current and future residents, while outlining a smart and sustainable path for their growth and development.”
