Albuquerque, New Mexico(KRQE) – The city states that recent refurbishment of the Alamosa Food Pantry has helped food rations. The western pantry operated outside the classrooms of the Alamosa Health and Social Welfare Center.

The modified space allows for more storage, loading docks for delivery, and space for sorting food. The pantry can now provide about 350 food boxes a month to those who need it. According to the news release, the new space will include a drive-through service option. According to the news release, in the old system, trucks were palletized in front of the service center and food was carried by hand.
